RENOINVEST- Roundtables enhancing smart investments in sustainable renovation of buildings

RENOINVEST is a cross-border initiative addressing the challenges and opportunities of sustainable building renovation in Austria, Hungary, and Slovenia. These countries share historical and economic ties, along with similar building stock and construction practices. The project focuses on developing action plans for smart investments in energy-efficient renovations for the period 2025-2030, supporting both public and private sectors.

A key element of RENOINVEST is the establishment of three national roundtables, building on the work of the Sustainable Energy Investment Forums. These roundtables bring together financial experts, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to assess existing market conditions, identify barriers to long-term financing, and propose solutions for scaling up investment programs in building renovation. The project also delivers three national policy briefs and a cross-border recommendation package to guide policy development and financial strategies. Through international exchange events, site visits, and case studies, RENOINVEST promotes knowledge-sharing and showcases 50+ best practices. Backed by a consortium of legislative advisors, researchers, engineering firms, SMEs, and financial experts, the project drives smart financing solutions for a greener built environment.
