We are pleased to announce the upcoming SMAFIN Expanded 3rd National Roundtable in Greece, which will be held on Thursday, 28 May 2026, from 9:30 to 15:00, in Athens, organised by CRES (Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving) and INZEB.
Under the title “Supporting the Implementation of Smart Financing for Energy Efficiency in Greece.2026” the event builds on previous national meetings and aims to strengthen the dialogue between institutional bodies, financial institutions, experts, and market stakeholders regarding the financing of energy efficiency in Greece.
This year’s event will begin with a discussion on the national policy framework for financing energy efficiency, focusing on current developments at the national and European levels, as well as on the priorities being set for the coming years.
Followingly, the event will be organised into two parallel thematic sessions:
- The first parallel session will focus on financing energy efficiency interventions for energy-vulnerable households and small businesses, with a discussion on the Social Climate Fund, available financing tools, and the challenges of accessing financing for vulnerable social groups.
-
The second parallel session will focus on the implementation of innovative financing mechanisms within the framework of the roadmap for energy savings in buildings, providing a space for a more targeted technical and institutional discussion on new financing schemes and policy instruments.
The parallel sessions are designed to foster meaningful exchanges of experiences and dialogue among participants, based on their areas of interest and expertise.
The event aims to contribute to the wider collective effort to promote sustainable and effective mechanisms for financing the energy transition in Greece.
